When Trumpets Fade (1998)

When Trumpets Fade is a 1998 WWII HBO film starring Ron Eldard as a disgruntled private-turned-officer who is forced to lead a group of misfit US soldiers during the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest in the fall of 1944. The film was directed by John Irvin, who directed the war films Hamburger Hill and The Dogs of War. The film was released in some countries under the title Hamburger Hill 2.
