Vietnam War Story is an HBO anthology that aired episodes from 1987 to 1989. Each episode gave a unique perspective about the Vietnam War as told by soldiers, nurses, and civilians in the states. Also notable for early performances from Wesley Snipes and Eriq La Salle.

The M16 rifle is the standard rifle carried by the majority of the American soldiers in the series.
MGC Replica M16 rifle
A number of characters were seen carrying MGC M16 Replica rifles for scenes where they didn't carry the blank-firing M16 rifles.

The M14 rifle is featured prominently in the episode which spotlights a US Marine platoon.

M1 Carbines are carried by ARVN soldiers.

The M60 machine gun is carried by K.C.(Eriq La Salle) in the episode "The Mine".
