The Victor (a literal translation of original title Pobeditel) is a Soviet 1976 (filmed 1975) adventure movie, directed by Andrey Ladynin and Edgar Khodzhikyan. The story is set during the Russian Civil War. Commissar of Red Army infantry and machine guns school Yakov Pavlovich Spiridonov (Aleksandr Zbruev) becomes a prisoner of Whites but manages to escape and organises a unit of local peasants.

The following weapons were used in the film The Victor (Pobeditel):

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by several characters, notably Commissar Yakov Pavlovich Spiridonov (Aleksandr Zbruev) and the officer of White Army counterintellegence service Rotmistr (Capt.) Valentin Andreevich Kareyev (Vladimir Korenev). Most, if not all Nagants appear to be of pre-1930 version.

Russian Nagant 1895, produced 1920s - 7.62x38R Nagant. The rounded front sight is a sign of revolvers produced from 1890s until 1930.
White Army Feldfebel (senior NCO) Sergeyich (Vadim Zakharchenko) carries a Nagant in holster. The holster lacks its bottom part, and the barrel of Nagant is seen.

Pistols

FN Model 1922

An out of time FN Model 1922 pistol is a personal sidearm of White Army Poruchik (Lt.) Georgiy Yevgenyevich Mokashev (Georgiy Taratorkin). In one scene Yakov Pavlovich Spiridonov (Aleksandr Zbruev) holds Mokashev's pistol.

Spiridonov hands the pistol back to Mokashev. Note the thick wooden grips, typical for the version that was produced for Wehrmacht in occupied Belgium.

Mauser C96

Mikhail (Yuri Gusev), Spiridonov's assistant, fires a Mauser C96 during the battle against Rotmistr Kareyev's punitive detachment.

Rifles

Mosin Nagant M1891/30

Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles, standing for original M91s, are used by White Army troops and Spiridonov's insurgents. Yakov Pavlovich Spiridonov (Aleksandr Zbruev) is briefly seen with a rifle when he signals for the night attack.

Shotguns

Double Barreled Shotgun

Double Barreled Shotguns are seen in hands of Mityay Arsanov (Evgeniy Shutov), Yegor (Mikhail Lobanov), and Aleksandr Ganin (Aleksei Loktev). These hammerless shotguns are possibly IZh-54 model, widely produced in 1950s-1960s.
