Venom is the 2018 feature film adaptation of the Marvel comics character. Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock, a journalist who unexpectedly joins with an alien symbiote and who together must prevent an impending invasion of Earth from a similar race of symbiotes. The film was directed by Ruben Fleischer and the cast includes Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed. Hardy would return in the 2021 sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
