The Sniper

QUESTION: Has this movie been released on DVD yet? I've checked and this film officially has only been screened at film festivals. If not these are Bootleg images and not allowed on IMFDB. We have a Zero Tolerance for bootlegs, being that we have many people who work in the movie industry (myself included) who work on this site. If it has then I hope that you or someone buys the DVD or rents it for some screencaps. Your quality from the torrent stream isn't bad, but that type of data transfer always makes me nervous as to the legality of the image. Illegally distributing movies over streaming video is still bootlegging and IMFDB won't allow any sort of illegal copy to make it's way here. This is from a DVD I bought when I was in Hong Kong this summer so I can't be too certain as to if this is bootleg or not as this was in a store. The first few images were from a site but the others are from the DVD. I will remove the ones from the site. Sorry--ThePotShot 19:18, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

That's NOT your fault. if you bought a DVD then you had every right to expect that the film was legit, but I've seen (and rejected) many bootleg DVDs from Hong Kong. they are notorious pirates and one of the countries that filmmakers are warned to stay away from until the last minute (i.e. never release your movie in Hong Kong/China until you've sold your rights to nearly every other market in the world, unless you want to see millions of bootlegs flooding the market and eliminating your revenue stream from all other markets, including Europe and South America). It is just that the official status of this film is that (probably due to the star's shenanigans) that it has not formally been released anywhere yet. It has played at Film Festivals in Australia and Europe and Asia, but I can't find any info as to a formal DVD release date. Usually that means any DVD being sold is a street bootleg. Judging from the poor quality I am assuming that is what you purchased. I didn't mean to sound like I was slamming you. I feel that you are a victim in all of this, but I hope you understand why we tow such a hard line against any 'appearance' of accepting bootlegs. People in the movie industry DO check this site all the time. I know that the legal counsel from one of the major studios was on this site, because he told me he was checking some movie trivia for one of his favorite movies :) But I sure get nervous when studio lawyers are cruising a site that may have movie bootleg images on it. Thanks so much for your understanding. So far you seem to have the temperament of a good Site member and I expect to see great work from you in the future. ;) best regards MoviePropMaster2008 19:34, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: Reorganize Mauser C96

I don't mind at all, please feel free. Any help in bringing these pages to the correct site format (tables instead of lists) would be greatly appreciated. Orca1 9904 06:21, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
