You failed to notice we have a page for the M1917 series of revolvers (including S&W and Colt) and don't make pages for screen used guns only. Take the images from that page and put them on the Indiana Jone page. Then I can delete the page and save server space on the site. - Gunmaster45

Chen

Thanks for the correction. I was wrong about Chen. I double checked the movie and you are right. MPM2008

Webley Revolvers

Make the necessary changes. We don't stand on ceremony here. If there are problems more edits will be done. However don't do what you did in the photo caption and then leave. Either make the edit or go to the respective firearm's discussion page and leave a message. thanks. --Jcordell 16:55, 19 April 2012 (CDT)

If you want to make additions to this page, as Jcordell said, go ahead. No need to e-mail me. Also, in the future, post on my discussion page. Please don't contact me via e-mail. Thanks. --Zackmann08 17:21, 19 April 2012 (CDT)
And as Jcordell said, DO NOT just post on the photo caption that it is wrong. Post something on the discussion page or fix it. Just saying its wrong does no one any help. Your edit has been undone for the second time. Do not redo this same edit again. --Zackmann08 17:24, 19 April 2012 (CDT)

Sorry about the email. This whole site is a bit confussing and I'm trying my best to provide the proper information. All I know is that the Webley MK III photo is a .38 version and not a .455. I don't know how to "fix" it. Also don't know where the "discussion" page is. So sorry but I'm just trying to provide correct info. Thanks

I can't find anything about a Mk III .38 revolver. There is the Enfield No.2 and the .38 caliber Webley Mk 4 and the Indian made version of the Enfield No. 2 - which is still in production. --Jcordell 21:22, 19 April 2012 (CDT)

Indian Enfield

Well here is one on GunBroker right now: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=283024844

This is the actual one used in Temple of Doom: http://www.propbay.com/original/chens-webley-indiana-jones-temple-doom-1984-movie-prop-435.html

Here is what is said on Wikipedia: The Hong Kong Police and Royal Singaporean Police were issued Webley Mk III & Mk IV .38/200 revolvers from the 1930s. Singaporean police Webleys were equipped with safety catches, a rather unusual feature in a revolver. These were gradually retired in the 1970s as they came in for repair, and were replaced with Smith & Wesson Model 10 .38 revolvers. The London Metropolitan Police were also known to use Webley revolvers, as were most colonial police units until just after the Second World War. There may still be some police units with Webley Mk IV revolvers that, whilst not issued, are still present in the armoury.

Some more photos of one: http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/firearms-ordnance/webley-mkiii-380cal-1752/

Another one: http://www.adamsguns.com/2824.htm

Just google "Webley MK III" and you'll get all kinds of things on the .38, .455, flare gun, and the air rifle. I do know that the specs for the .38 are available in some gun books but I haven't found anything specific on the internet either.

Good luck! --Jags 22:03, 19 April 2012 (CDT)

My bad

Fair enough. We all learn by making mistakes. I made my fair share of them when I joined this site and got chewed out by more then 1 senior member. No harm, no foul. :-) When you look at any page, in the top left corner (just to the right of the IMFDB logo) you will see 2 tabs. "Page" and "Discussion". Discussion is the discussion page associated with that particular page. Just go there and click "add topic" to start a new topic. Also, make sure you sign the end of your post. There is a button for this in the top left of the editing window or you can just type "--~~~~" (without the quotes). As a personal recommendation, I'd encourage you to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. It isn't just the usual crap you see on all sites. It will actually save you a lot of headaches. I read it like 4 times in the first few weeks I was on the site.

Sorry if I jumped down your throat. I need to remember we are all new here at some point. :-) peace --Zackmann08 17:44, 19 April 2012 (CDT)

No problem and thank you for the "lesson". It looks like the corrections have been made on the Webley page. Hopefully someone can make a listing for the MK III.38 with all the technical info. I don't have that info. I do know about the Indy Chen Webley as I know the person who now owns it.

Thanks again. --Jags 17:55, 19 April 2012 (CDT)
