::::::::::::First off, sorry about forgetting to reply to your prior message. Regarding everything you mentioned, I'd say that shots of both things as they're meant to be (i.e. promos) and things as they are (i.e. bugged in-game images) can stay (at least until the bug is patched; even afterwards, they can be kept for information's sake); one thing worth pointing out is that the whole ten-images-per-gun rule is, at least in my experience, more of a guideline than a strict rule - if there's something worth showing off, show it off. Worst case scenario, you have to put it on the talk page. If there's anything else you want to know, let me know. Welcome to IMFDB

Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban. After that you should also read the IMFDB Screencapping Guide and the IMFDB Style Guide to familiarize yourself with the image and formatting requirements for pages you create.

There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.

Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. If you would like to join the forum, please post HERE and an account will be created for you.

Now, HAPPY EDITING! bunni (talk) 00:36, 14 August 2019 (EDT)

RE:Sandstorm

Glad to hear it! For starters, make sure they're in .jpg or .jpeg format, then go to "Upload file" in the toolbox, choose the file you want, and give it an appropriate name. Then go to the appropriate weapon's entry, and for each shot, add this:

[[File:thefilenameyouchose.jpg|thumb|none|600px|The caption that you want to have under the image.]]

Without the nowiki bits, of course; the little vertical lines are the second-to-last thing under the "IPA" section of "Special characters" in the toolbar above the text you're editing. If you have any other questions (or if this wasn't what you meant when you asked for help), just let me know. Thanks for your contributions! Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 09:37, 14 August 2019 (EDT) P.S.: I honestly don't know what you do or don't know, so if you already know this, then I didn't mean to insult your intelligence or anything.

If you want to add a new file with the same name as an older one, just click on the image (i.e. go to the page of the file itself), scroll down just beneath the box with the file history in it, and you'll see a bit of blue text that says "Upload a new version of this file"; click it, then choose the new picture, and upload it. Be aware that this doesn't update immediately; the hosting service that IMFDB uses takes some time to update images. You can wait for the images on the page to update on their own, or if you're impatient, you can go to the Sandstorm page and change the 600px bit of the image text into 599px or 601px. Alternatively, you can just upload the new image under a slightly different name if you want to have both of them on the page (for example, if SandstormTariqsights.jpeg was outdated, but you wanted to keep it to show how the Tariq's sights have changed, you could make a new picture named "SandstormTariqsightsNew" or "SandstormTariqsights2" or something). Hope this helps. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 08:32, 15 August 2019 (EDT) P.S.: I don't know about other people, but I generally tend towards showing off updates with new pictures entirely, to show off what's changed better. Just my two cents.
I mean, they're included in plenty of other pages, so I don't see why not. Go ahead. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 09:25, 16 August 2019 (EDT)
Sure, the mines, UBGLs, grenades, C4, etc. would be a great addition to the page. I could help out with some of the things you mentioned - though I can't exactly get screenshots myself, seeing as I don't have the game, I can update/edit the page, and I can create a page for the VHS's UBGL (which I think we'd probably call the "HS Produkt VHS-BG"). Any other questions? Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 08:26, 27 August 2019 (EDT)
There are some actual M203s that can mount to RIS rails, like the RM Equipment M203PI and the LMT M203. Also, you can just upload the screenshots here and put them on the Sandstorm discussion page; I honestly check this site more than my actual e-mail, so it'd probably be a better way of showing them off, plus it would let other users weigh in on the topic. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 11:33, 27 August 2019 (EDT)
Absolutely. Unique attachments and interesting markings are definitely worth noting in an entry, and can be great material for screenshots. And I'll get to the VHS-BG in just a minute. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 09:56, 15 September 2019 (EDT)
Sure, I and the other people here are more than willing to help - if we notice something worth pointing out, then we'll add it. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 10:19, 15 September 2019 (EDT)
The cache/art-only weapons can definitely go in, either in their respective sections, or in a separate trivia section below. As for the 203s, the one on the M16A2 is definitely legit; the ones on the A4 and the M4A1 are a little trickier, since they look like legitimate M203A1s, but they seem to have an Airsoft-style mounting system. I suppose that that's how they could be entered into the page, though. And I'll get to work on the M19. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 16:01, 17 September 2019 (EDT)
Absolutely, that's fine. If you want to upload a new reference image, go right on ahead. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 08:57, 17 February 2020 (EST)
I can do it later, but I'll probably just wind up putting it on the existing Tavor page rather than giving it its own separate one. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 23:01, 4 March 2020 (EST)
