Ulzana is a 1974 East German (Romanian and Soviet co-production) "Red Western", a sequel to Apachen, directed by Gottfried Kolditz and starring Gojko Mitic as Ulzana, the chief of Apaches.

Revolvers

Reichsrevolver M1883

Captain Burton (Rolf Hoppe), the main villain of the movie, carries the Reichsrevolver M1883.

Some of US Army officers are armed with Reichsrevolver M1879 revolvers.

Colt 1851 Navy Cartridge

The coachman of stagecoach (Wilfried Zander) carries the Colt 1851 Navy revolver. Colt Navy revolvers are also briefly seen in hands of US Army officers. These guns appear to be cartridge version of Colt 1851 Navy, with brass frame and barrel and white cylinder, that are seen in many other DEFA Western movies. The lack of the pin that fixes the barrel with the frame on original Colt 1851 allows to guess that screen guns are versions, originally made for metallic cartridges (rather than converted from cap and ball model), likely of European production.

The coachman draws his revolver when Apaches appear.

Smith & Wesson revolver

A revolver in hands of some uncredited character appears to be a Smith & Wesson model, possibly a Smith & Wesson Victory Model that often appears in DEFA Western movies.

Single Action Army

Many characters, notably Wardley (Paul Berndt) and Buuly (Dan Sandulescu), carry holstered revolvers. The grips allow to guess the revolvers to be Single Action Army. The only SAA revolver, seen outside holster, is the "Cavalry" revolver, used by an unnamed Sergeant in the final scene.

Buuly (at the left) is armed with the Winchester Model 1892 and a holstered revolver.

Rifles and Muskets

Winchester Model 1892

Anachronistic Winchester Model 1892 rifles are used by Ulzana (Gojko Mitic) and some other characters. Most, if not all Winchesters are fitted with sling swivel on the underbarrel magazine, so these carbines are not Saddle Ring version.

Ulzana gets a Winchester as a gift from Gen. Crook. The buttstock of black wood with inlay allows to guess that it's the same prop, used in Tödlicher Irrtum.

Martini Action Schuetzen Rifle

Most rifles in the movie are single shot Martini Action Schuetzen rifles, popular German target and hunting guns. They are used by both US Army soldiers and Apache warriors.

Kessler Schuetzen rifle is seen in hands of an Apache warrior. Kessler system was an improved version of Martini.

What appears to be a Mauser Scheibenbüchse, bolt-action target rifle based on Mauser Gewehr 1871 system, is seen in hands of an Apache warrior.

Martini Rifle

A Martini rifle is seen in hands of a soldier. It has a full-length stock. Some Swiss Martini rifles have same configuration.

A soldier holds the full-stock rifle.

He is shot and drops the gun. The shape of trigger guard and lever looks similar to the one of the Swiss rifle, used as sample.

Percussion Cap Musket

What appears to be percussion cap muskets (possibly rifled muskets) are seen in hands of soldiers.

A Napoleonic-style smoothbore field cannon is seen in the fort. Its size matches 12-pounder.
