Totally Accurate Battlegrounds (TABG) is a free-to-play multiplayer battle royale video game developed by Swedish studio Landfall Games and a spin-off of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS). Similarly to how TABS parodies the battle simulator genre of video games, TABG is a parody of the battle royale genre, primarily titles such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite. The game was released on Steam on June 5th, 2018, and was made free-to-play on April 1st, 2021.

TABG's signature offering is "whacky" Unity engine physics that affects the player, environment, and firearms. Other than that, the TABG plays as any other Battle Royale game, with players either playing solo in squads, looting after the drop, killing enemy players, and making it to the final zone. Instead of gas or fire, pillars slowly close in, creating a wall in the final zone.

Like PUBG, TABG permits players to customize their guns with attachments ranging from standard sights to double barrels that can be put on any firearm, but is restricted up to three atachments. The list of attachments includes:

  • Red Dot
  • 2x Scope
  • 4x Scope
  • 8x Scope
  • Muzzle Break
  • Suppressor
  • Compensator
  • Damage Analyzer
  • Health Analyzer
  • Heavy Barrel
  • Fast Barrel
  • Double Barrel

The following weapons appear in the video game Totally Accurate Battlegrounds:

Handguns

TABG has pistols split into two sections: Handguns and Machine Pistolss, all of which can be dual-wielded by the player, sacrificing the ability to aim down sights for double the firepower. Each handgun can be customized separately.

Handguns

Desert Eagle

One of the stronger secondary weapons the player can access is a Desert Eagle Mark XIX.

Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX - .44 Magnum

Flintlock

A generic Flintlock pistol is available as a secondary weapon. Like a musket, the player must find a separate ammo box on the ground to use these two weapons.

British Heavy Dragoon Pistol - .62 caliber

Luger-P08

An iconic Luger P08 can be operated by the player. If the player equips the heavy barrel attachment, the pistol transforms into the Luger LP08 "Artillery" model.

Luger P08 with black grips - 9x19mm
Luger LP08 "Artillery" model - 9x19mm

M1911

The player can loot an iconic American handgun M1911 on the ground. Due to the "whacky" art style, it is hard to determine which version of M1911 has been used.

Original Colt M1911 (dated 1913) - .45 ACP

Python

A Colt Python revolver appears in the TABG under the generic "Revolver" name.

Colt Python with 6" Barrel - .357 Magnum

Machine Pistols

Berretta 93R

A Beretta 93R is one of the three machine pistols that can be found in the game.

Beretta 93R - 9x19mm

Glock 18C

A Glock 18C can be found on the ground by the player, and it is the fastest-firing machine pistol in the game with the ability to dual-wield and fully customize. Like with other guns on this list, the "whacky" art style makes it hard to identify the exact weapon.

Glock 18 (2nd Generation) with extended 31-round magazine - 9x19mm

Tec-9

An Intratec Tec-9 makes an appearance in the TABG, but due to the "whacky" artstyle it is hard to identify the exact variant of the Tec-9.

Intratec TEC-9 (post-1987 version) - 9x19mm

Submachine Guns

M1A1 Thompson

The M1A1 Thompson with the stick mag is available for the player to find on the ground.

M1A1 Thompson with 30-round magazine - .45 ACP

Mac-10

The Ingram Model 10 or Mac-10 can be found on the ground and can be dual wield during the combat.

Ingram MAC-10 - 9x19mm

MP-40

The infamous WW2 submachine gun, the MP40, can be found on the ground.

MP40 - 9x19mm

MP5-K

The compact and "run&gun" MP5K is available to the contestants and can be found on the ground upon landing.

Heckler & Koch MP5K - version with SEF Plastic Trigger Pack - 9x19mm. This is a very well worn Motion picture weapon

P90

The P90 can be found on the ground by players, standing out from the rest by its iconic 50-round magazine. With a heavy barrel attachment, the player can turn the P90 into a "whacky" fully automatic FN PS90 TR, the carbine version of the P90.

FN P90 - 5.7x28mm FN
FN PS90 TR - FN 5.7x28mm

PPSH-41

The iconic Soviet PPSh-41 is available to the players with the stick magazine, missing the iconic drum. The "whacky" art style can mistake some players to think that this is MP 41(r)(Maschinenpistole 41(r), but that is not the case.

PPSh-41 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev.

Vector

One of the fastest-firing submachine guns in the TABG is the TDI Vector, the first prototype.

Prototype TDI Vector - .45 ACP

UMP-45

The UMP-45 is one of the jacks-of-all-trades, master-at-none submachine guns available to the player. The player can turn UMP-45 into a "whacky" full-auto Heckler & Koch USC Tactical Match Rifle with the heavy barrel attachment.

Heckler & Koch UMP45 - .45 ACP (The UMP40 also uses the straight angled magazine).
Heckler & Koch USC Tactical Match Rifle - .45 ACP

Shotguns

AA-12

The only full-auto shotgun in the game, the AA-12, comes with the standard box magazine, missing its drum.

MPS Auto Assault-12 - 12 gauge

Blunderbuss

The Blunderbuss is one of the shotguns available to the player in the TABG, having one of the highest damage/recoil stats in the game, which can be doubled by using the double-barrel attachment.

Blunderbuss Flintlock

Double Barrel Shotgun

The standard gaming double-barrel shotgun in the TABG can be turned into a quad-barrel with a double-barrel attachment. It seems to be modeled after the Colt Model 1878 Shotgun.

Colt Model 1878 - 12 Gauge

Mossberg-500

The Mossberg 500 shotgun appears in TABG as the reliable and consistent workhorse of gun selection. Note the shell sleeve on the side of the gun instead of a stock.

Mossberg 500 "Persuader" with standard five-shot magazine tube - 12 gauge. This is the most commonly produced version of the 500 series today.

Winchester 1887 Lever Action

The "Arnold" is an Easter Egg, representing the Winchester Model 1887 Lever Action heavily modified to be used in the Terminator 2 movie by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the T-800 Model 101.

AWP

One of the three sniper rifles available to the player in the TABG, the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare is the standard bolt action option.

Accuracy International AW - 7.62x51mm NATO

Barret M82

Like any other first-person shooter, the Barret is the game's highest damage-dealing semi-automatic sniper rifle. The gun is modeled after the Barret M82 model. A scaled-up version with bigger damage and recoil is called Really Big Barret.

Barrett M82A1 - .50 BMG

VSS

The VSS or VSS Vintorez (Vintovka Snayperskaya Spetsialnaya), is the only integrally suppressed sniper rifle available in the TABG. And while it lacks damage compared to Barret or AWP, it compensates with the fast rate of fire (fully-automatic) and integral suppression.

VSS Vintorez with PSO-1 scope - 9x39mm

Machine Guns

MG-42

Iconic German machine gun MG42 makes an appearance in the game, where it has the highest fire rate among all heavy machine guns.
