The Thin Man was filmed in 1934 about retired detective Nick Charles played by William Powell and his wife Nora Charles played by Myrna Loy as they attempt to settle down when Nick is contacted by Dorothy Wyant daughter of his friend Clyde Wyant who has disappeared.
