They Live
They Live is a 1988 film written (under a pseudonym) and directed by John Carpenter. In the movie a drifter (never named during the movie but credited as Nada) is out of work and out of luck. He finds some work on a construction site and befriends another worker who takes him to a tent type camp site for the homeless. After the camp’s shifty organizers run from a police raid, Nada curiously seeks answers. His curiousity only leads him to some sunglasses. These sunglasses reveal things not seen by the naked eye, like hidden messages and aliens disguised as humans living in the upper class. Nada does not take this lightly and sets out to destroy every alien he sets his sights on. A classic 80s Sci-Fi action flick The weapons seen in They Live are:
Colt Python
A Colt Python is carried by one of the LAPD Officers that confront Nada in the alley. Nada knocks out this officer and takes the revolver from him.
Smith & Wesson Model 28
A Smith & Wesson Model 28 is taken by Nada off one of the police officer he shoots in the alleyway. You can see this revolver tucked into his waistband when he walks into the bank. He is also seen with the revolver when he forces Holly to give him a ride.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
A Smith & Wesson Model 10 is used by a bank guard to shoot at Nada. Frank also uses one with a 2 inch barrel given to him by Gilbert.
Walther PP Pistol
Holly uses a Walther PP pistol to confront Frank in the stairwell, and Nada on the roof.
Beretta Jetfire
Nada is given a Beretta Jetfire pistol from Gilbert. Nada keeps the pistol in his sleeve and later uses it on the roof.
Desert Eagle
Nada(Roddy Piper) picks up a Desert Eagle MkI pistol at the safe house. He later tries to destroy the satellite on the roof with it.
SIG Sauer P220
Frank carries a SIG-Sauer P220 with a custom companstor.
Federal L-5 Gas Riot Gun
A Federal L-5 Gas Riot Gun is used by the LAPD during the raid on the homeless shanty camp.
Ithaca 37
The Ithaca 37 shotgun is used by various characters throughout the movie. The Ithaca 37 is probably appears the most in the film. If your an Ithaca 37 fan you should see this movie.
HK94 Carbine
The HK94 Carbine is used both by Nada and the LAPD in the film. The HK94s that appear in the film have barrel shrouds with attached vertical forgrips. Nada's HK94 has the forgrip positioned horizontally instead of the typical vertical position.
Micro Uzi
Frank (Kieth David) picks up a Micro Uzi at the safe house. He uses the Micro Uzi in the ensuing battle with the LAPD.
Uzi Submachine gun
The Uzi is used by the LAPD as well as Gilbert during the safe house shootout.
M16 Rifle
The M16 rifle is used by Nada and Frank in the Cable 54 building, and also by the Cable 54 building Soldiers.
M16A1
The M16A1 is used by the Cable 54 soldier in the helicopter to shoot at Nada on the roof.
MGC M16 rifle
A number of the Cable 54 building soldiers were seen carrying MGC M16 rifles.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
When Frank is picking up weapons at the safe house he puts a Mk 2 grenade into his backpack. He later uses the grenade to blow apart a door to gain entrance to studio 54.
Unknown Pistol
When the safe house is raided one of the organizers tries to get off a shot at the police but is instead killed. His pistol has a flashlight attached to it.
