There Was Once a Cop (Il était une fois un flic...) is a 1971 French crime comedy directed by Georges Lautner. Commissioner Campana (Michel Constantin) comes from Paris to Nice to fought against dangerous drug syndicate. He wants to impersonate as Louise Lopez, brother of the murdered drug dealer. Because Lopez, living in Tunisia, none of gangsters never seen. Campana has a chance of success, however, needs a woman and a child, and so his commissaire Lucas (Michael Lonsdale) for this purpose to "assign" police aide Christine (Mireille Darc) and her son Bertrand (Hervé Hillien).
