The following weapons were used in the film The Sniper:
The Sniper is a 2009 Hong Kong action thriller film directed by Dante Lam and starring Richie Ren, Edison Chen and Huang Xiaoming, as top snipers for the Hong Kong Police Force. The film was originally set to be released in May 2008, but was delayed due to the Edison Chen photo scandal. The following images are from the commercially available Hong Kong Released DVD.
Hand Guns
The following lists the handguns used by the Hong Kong Police, Hong Kong SDU, and the Triads (not too sure what affiliation the bad guys are).
Smith & Wesson Model 10
OJ (Edison Chen) and his inexperienced rookie partner both use Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers in the introduction. Hartman Fong (Richie Ren) and officers of the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) also use Model 10s during a scene where triad members attack a prisoner convoy.
SIG-Sauer P228
A SIG-Sauer P228 is seen in the hands of Hartman Fong (Richie Ren) during the opening stakeout scene. He uses it to save OJ when OJ had trouble trying to deal with several machete wielding triads.
Beretta 92FS
Triad leader Tao (Jack Kao) is armed with a Beretta 92FS during a flashback sequence and later during the shootout in the elevator.
Walther P99
A Walther P99 is carried by Er Ge (Big Head)(Kai Chi Liu) during the elevator scene, later drops it when shot in the arm by OJ. Hartman also manages to obtain one during the elevator scene.
Glock 17
A Glock 17 is briefly seen in the hands of Lincoln Ching (Huang Xiaoming) during the elevator scene.
Steyr GB
The Steyr GB is carried by several triads.
M1911
A M1911-style pistol is carried by several triads.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5
Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns are used by the HKPD Special Duties Unit (SDU) throughout the movie. It is also used by one of the PTU officers guarding a prison convoy and by another officer during a shootout at Ching's apartment.
Steyr TMP
A Steyr TMP, distinguished by its folding stock, is used by one of the triads who ambushes the prisoner convoy.
Used by one of Er Ge's henchmen.

A Micro Galilis used by Er Ge (Big Head)(Kai Chi Liu) during the rescue scene.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Remington 870 shotguns are seen in the hands of PTU officers guarding the prison transport when it is ambushed by the triads.
