The Place Promised in Our Early Days (Kumo no Mukō) is a 2004 Anime film directed by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, Weathering with You). In a world in which the Japanese North Island is occupied by a mysterious union, the two friends Hiroki and Takuya, who live on the main island, are particularly fascinated by three things: the huge tower on the other side of the border, the construction of their own aircraft - and her classmate Sayuri. The three promise to fly to the almost magical tower one day and uncover its secret. But suddenly Sayuri disappears without a trace and years later, under the auspices of a great war, Hiroki and Takuya have to face the question of whether their previous agreement still holds them together.

The following weapons were used in the anime film The Place Promised in Our Early Days:

Tokarev TT-33

Takuya owns a Russian Tokarev TT-33.

Tokarev TT-33 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Pre-1947 version.
"The problem is that you live too much in the past."
Loading in a magazine by pressing the pistol against the left wrist.
"I will help you forget!"
Pulling the slide. The takedown clip is clearly visible.
Takuya aims the Tokarev, which gives a close up of the muzzle.
The pistol lies on the ground, which offers a detailed view of the gun. Note the upper part of the TT-33 is mirrored; the ejection port with the extractor is now on the wrong side of the slide unlike in the previous pictures.

Colt M1911A1

Okabe is briefly seen with a M1911A1 pistol.

Colt M1911A1 - .45 ACP.
Moving the slide on the cocking serrations.
The prepared Colt in his hand. It could be the angle, but the ejection port also seems to be on the wrong side.
He points his pistol at Hiroki.

Mounted Weapons

Browning M2HB

The silhouettes of Browning M2HB machine guns can be seen on American M1 Abrams tanks being transported on military trains.

Browning M2HB on vehicle mount - .50 BMG

What looks like a JM61 20mm is seen mounted on a Union patrol boat.

Unknown Deck gun

Okabe's boat is equipped with an unknown automatic Deck gun.

The gun is seen outside behind the broken window on the right.

Phalanx CIWS

A battleship fires at the Velaciela with an Phalanx CIWS turret.
