The Janitor is a 2014 Filipino crime drama film. The film stars Dennis Trillo as disgraced ex-police officer Crisanto Espina, who is hired by his friend and high-ranking police officer Rudy Manapat (Richard Gomez) to hunt down the suspects of a grisly robbery-massacre of a bank. As he finds more of the robbery's suspects and goes deeper into the case, he starts to discover unsavory secrets behind both the incident at the bank and the real truth behind his job. The film was released during the 10th edition of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival in 2014, and is loosely based on the 2008 RCBC robbery-massacre, where nine bank employees and one security guard were killed by a group of robbers before they left with 9 million Philippine pesos (around $270k US dollars in 2022).
