The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2005)

The following firearms were used in the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning:



Ruger Vaquero

This revolver, probably chambered in .45 Colt was Sheriff Winston's (Lew Temple) duty sidearm. He pulls it on Leatherface near the beginning of the film to apprehend him but is killed by Hoyt who replaces him as Sheriff. Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) then carries it as his sidearm throughout the film and once uses it to threaten Bailey shortly after the car accident.

U.S. Army Model 1911

When the biker chick begins chasing the jeep on her bike threatening the kids with a sawed off shotgun. Eric (Matthew Bomer) opens his glove compartment and draws this U.S. Army issue M1911. He aims it but they then get in a car accident. The gun then ends up in the hands of Monty (Terrence Evans) who pockets it to keep for himself from the wreckage before Chrissie can get a hold of it.

Smith & Wesson Model 586

After Chrissie confronts him on his motorcyle for help as he rides down the road and lets him know Sheriff Hoyt killed and took his girlfriend. Holden (Lee Tergesen) pulls this blued .357 Magnum revolver from a holster and takes it into the Hewitt house. Ultimately shooting Monty in the leg and threatening Sheriff Hoyt at gunpoint before being ambushed by Leatherface.

Winchester Model 12

Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) takes this shotgun off the original sheriff's, Sheriff Winston's dashboard and uses it to kill him with a shot to the head when hes trying to apprehend Thomas/ Leatherface. Hoyt then replaces him as the new Sheriff and uses it throughout the movie. He uses it to kill a biker chick and then uses it to threaten the stranded kids through the rest of the film.

Unknown Double Barrel Sawed-off shotgun

The Biker Chick (Emily Kaye) pulls this pistol gripped short barreled double barrel 12 Gauge shotgun while riding down the highway to pull over the group of kids for a highway robbery before being shot by Sheriff Hoyt. Eric goes for the shotgun after being taken to the Hewitt house as it sits on Sheriff Hoyt's dashboard but Hoyt returns and takes it with him.

The Biker Chick (Emily Kaye) chases the kids down the highway to rob them with her sawed-off shotgun drawn.
Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) smacks his patrol light off with the sawed-off shotgun after he returns to the car for it when Eric tries to get it.
