I always thought or assumed taping two mags together came from Vietnam. But considering Murphy does it in a 1955 film, that disproves what I thought (Murphy probably must have did it also in WWII). Two magazines taped together

I always thought or assumed taping two mags together came from Vietnam. But considering Murphy does it in a 1955 film, that disproves what I thought (Murphy probably must have did it also in WWII). I have seen photos of GI's taping three mags together for the M3 Grease Gun and Thompson. Also the OSS welded two mags together on their UD42 SMG in France. -Phoenixent 16:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
