After some research I found out how Winchester Model 1866 could appear in Russia. M1866 were widely used by Ottoman cavalry in the 1877 Russo-Turkish War. So it's possible that some Turkish Winchesters were captured by Russians and more that a century later appear on screen. Rifles
The rifles look different from Winchester 1895. On the first screenshot we can see a underbarrel tube magazine, on the second screenshot the muzzle looks different, and on the third screenshot a brass reciever, similar to Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy", can be seen. - BTW, I was surprised by the appearance of "Yellow Boy" in Soviet movies (they are also seen in such movies as Beg and Trest, kotoryy lopnul). After some research I found out how Winchester Model 1866 could appear in Russia. M1866 were widely used by Ottoman cavalry in the 1877 Russo-Turkish War.
