Smith & Wesson M13 (moved from main page)

Original Smith & Wesson Model 13 Lightweight Revolver, marked "Property of U.S. Air Force" on the backstrap and "Revolver, Lightweight, M13" on the left - .38 Special

The Smith & Wesson M13 was an unofficial designation for the 'Airweight' Aircrewman, an alloy framed version of the Model 10 purchased by the US Military for use by air crews. This revolver was later deemed unsatisfactory and removed from service, with all but a handful subsequently crushed for scrap.

Model 13 vs M13

These should probably be split between two pages, as the Model 13 is the heavy-barelled K-Frame .357, whereas the Aircrewman is the M13 (not Model 13), which is a US military designation and not a S&W factory designation. - Nyles

- I concur, there should be a seperate page for the 'Aircrewman' revolver, just like there's seperate pages on the M1917 .45 ACP Colt and Smith revolvers and their respective main models (Smith Triple Lock/Colt New Service), same thing here I think. StanTheMan 23:35, 13 July 2011 (CDT)

It looks like there aren't any appearances by the M13, however. Can we justify creating a new page for it then? Why not just delete any mention of it from this page? --Funkychinaman 23:55, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
There are other pages of Smith revolvers (and other guns) with no appearances but are still there for reference. You do have a good point about it's lack of appearances, that said, I still really wouldn't want it deleted outright (Though that may have to be done I suppose). Perhaps we could put it here in the discussion page (like we would an additional variant)? StanTheMan 00:37, 14 July 2011 (CDT)
