Are we sure #1 isn't an MP5? And I think #2 is a Micro Galil. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:04, 28 September 2014 (EDT)

I agree about Micro Galil but the SMG still seems a mystery. Here is an enlarged fragment:
Les Ripoux 3-SMG-Enlarged.jpg
Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with original "slimline" forearm - 9x19mm
Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with "tropical" (wide) forearm and stock extended - 9x19mm

The foregrip differs from both slim and wide handguards of MP5. The barrel protrudes from the center of the foregrip, not from the bottom. That's why I didn't identify it as MP5. Maybe it's some other version? Greg-Z (talk) 11:17, 28 September 2014 (EDT)

Maybe a Surefire foregrip sans light? --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:22, 28 September 2014 (EDT)
Maybe... or a tactical foregrip, like this one though I don't know if such foregrips existed in early 2000s. Greg-Z (talk) 11:32, 28 September 2014 (EDT)
I'm pretty sure it is an MP5 fitted with a railed handguard. If you look at the uncropped version of the image you will see that opposite these guys there is another officer with what appears to be the same MP5 variant, but this one is fitted with a vertical grip at the front of the rail. On an unrelated note, I believe the unknown pistol used by a police detective could be a non gun Beretta 92F, based on the bizarrely low position of the barrel on the slide:

Many thanks! I fixed all these entries. Greg-Z (talk) 11:43, 29 September 2014 (EDT)
