::As for me, the artist was under impression of the famous [[Smith & Wesson Model 29]] revolver: the target sights, shrouded ejector rod, big bore, non-tapered heavy barrel. Of course, the screen gun isn't a direct copy of Model 29, but it bears some resemblance.
