That looks like a Smith & Wesson Model 15 in all the caps, the supposed stainless is easily explained by a polished blue finish being lit from from a low light rather than an overhead one. As to the snub it's the same gun you can see the guys fingers holding the barrel. As to why a Model 15, it has an adjustable rear sight, unshrouded ejector rod and is said to be a .38 that plus the 4 or 5 inch barrel means a Model 15.
