- I'm not saying the Japanese people of the period had any excuse or really can be forgiven, but those people are either dead or very old. The hate needs to stop. It's worse because I am Chinese. I was a born and raised in America so my values are completely different from my family, but I feel this all the time and yet I films like this and it is just disheartening and I really don't recommend to watch the entire film either. The action scenes are cool but the rest about Japan's conquest of China is just bad. I'm not saying to ignore history but to study and learn from it. - It just reflects the current state of Sino-Japanese relations and Chinese movie-making in general. The most shameless moment was when Chen Zhen lead the club in a singalong of "The Internationale," the Commmunist Party anthem. - Which is kinda weird and maybe anchronistic because China at the time period was kinda on pause between the Communists and the Nationalists and the commies at the time weren't that powerful until after the war. I also think I know why a lot of the shoot out scenes took place in the rain, at least some of the up close ones were. I think it's to hide the bad muzzle flash CGI and to disguise the small sets they were using. Excalibur01 (talk) 15:59, 28 December 2012 (EST)

Unknown pistol
I'm not sure if this is an FN Model 1903 or just a rubber stunt M1911 that doesn't have a hammer. I do know they used rubber guns for filming kung-fu scenes, and both of the following caps are from very intense action sequences. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:10, 27 December 2012 (EST)
Unknown rifle
Bent bolt handle, which rules out the Arisakas and Mausers, but no external mag, so not the SMLE. The stock doesn't match the SMLE either, so I don't think it's an SMLE with its magazine removed. Any ideas?

- Based on the fact that there isn't wood over the top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight, I would guess it is a Lee Speed No. 3 "Trade Pattern" (I'm guessing No. 3 trade pattern by the look of the bolt although I can't see it that clearly to be 100%, and the fact that as it is in China I'm guessing this export variant is more likely). --commando552 (talk) 19:41, 28 December 2012 (EST)

Stick grenade
I initially thought Type 67 stick grenade, but they look a bit smaller and flimsier. Maybe just a prop?
