The Great Gatsby (1974)

The Great Gatsby is the 1974 American adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name. The film stars Robert Redford as the title character, with Mia Farrow, Bruce Dern, Sam Waterston, Lois Chiles, Karen Black, and Scott Wilson. The film won the only two Academy Awards it was nominated for, Best Costume Design and Best Music, Scoring Original Song Score and/or Adaptation.

This was the third of four feature adaptations of Fitzgerald's novel, with a fourth directed by Baz Lurhmann and released in 2013.

Unidentifiable revolver

Gatsby's bodyguard (John Devlin) is show carrying a revolver in a shoulder holster. Since he never draws it, it is impossible to make a proper ID.

This is the only shot of the revolver we see.
