brass-framed revolvers

Both the Remington New Army and Colt 1851 Navy photos show brass framed examples(I can't really tell if the frame of the Colt 1860 Army is of brass or just worn...). There were no brass framed CSA copies of the Remington. While there were some brass framed "Colt" Navies, such as the Griswold and Gunnison, they were rare and real Colts were much more likely to be used, as were imported Kerr and Lefaucheux revolvers. The gun companies do make proper copies of CS made guns nowadays, so if the filmmakers insist on using confedearate made guns they can get a good copy, rather than use "fantasy" guns. This is a pet peeve when it comes to CW movies.--Tecolote (talk) 19:15, 29 February 2016 (EST)--Tecolote (talk) 19:15, 29 February 2016 (EST)
