Talk:Colt Lightning
Additional Images

Belgian Cowboy Ranger revolver based on Colt 1877 DA - .38 Long Colt/.38 S&W. The Cowboy Ranger revolver has a slide safety below the hammer that doesn't exist on original Colt 1877 DA, and the wide grips in Single Action Army style are uncommon for the base model. These Belgian revolvers were sold in the US by sellers like Sears and Montgomery Ward up until the mid 1920s.

The proper name for the page
As far as I know, the official name of this revolver was Colt Model 1877 while "Thunderer", "Lightning" and "Rainmaker" were names for versions in different calibers (.41, .38 and .32 respectively). These names (or at least Thunderer and Lightning) were given not by Colt but by the seller of Colt revolvers Benjamin Kittredge (who is also the author of "Peacemaker" name for SAA).
