Out of the three shows, '''CSI: NY''' is probably the most '''inaccurate regarding firearms''' and firearms forensics. Despite the fact that there are tons of firearms on the show, the script writers know very little about guns in general (and it shows, like declaring that the AR15 is the only(!) firearm that fires the 5.56mm NATO round, ignoring the 50 plus other guns that fire the same cartridge).
