Could the unidentified rifle be a custom Winchester Model 1890? Some modern owners of it claim to have such with hexagonal barrels, the third generation had straight stocks, the lack of an ejection port on the side is justified by it ejecting from the top, and sawing off the barrel to match the magazine resembles the rifle. With a custom pump-stock, is it a possible idea? Quite a lot fits after all, in the mechanics and build atleast.
