T65
Developed during the early 1970s as a replacement for the Type 57 (M14) rifle in Taiwanese service, the Combined Service Forces T65 is a hybrid design that melds the short stroke piston system of the Armalite AR-18 with the aesthetics of the M16. The T65K2 is an improved version of the T65 that was aimed at addressing concerns regarding the T65's design and reliability. Changes include the use of better materials, a redesigned handguard and a M16A2-style front post/rear peephole sight.
