Superman II is the 1980 sequel to 1978's Superman: The Movie. The sequel finds the Man of Steel having to battle three Kryptonian criminals who have escaped a space prison and are intent on conquering Earth. Both Superman: The Movie and its sequel were filmed simultaneously, but production conflicts led to director Richard Donner departing before completing the second film. Superman II was subsequently finished and released with new scenes under the direction of Richard Lester. In 2006, Richard Donner and editor Michael Thau collaborated to restore as much of Donner's original vision as possible with newly discovered footage. This version of the film was released on video under the title: "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut". Many alternate sequences were restored (and a few excised) as well as the appearance of Superman's father Jor-El (Marlon Brando).

Shotguns
Coach Shotgun
Dwayne (Peter Whitman), the young deputy who confronts the supervillains, aims a Coach-style shotgun at General Zod (Terence Stamp). After he superheats the barrels with his heat vision, Zod takes the shotgun away and fires a blast into his chest to no ill effect. Zod then comments, "A weapon of some sort."
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
In the Theatrical Cut, Joey aims his 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun at Zod and his friends until Zod moves him around.
Handguns
Colt Python
US Capitol police who defend the White House against the supervillains are seen armed with Colt Pythons. Both Deputy Dwayne as well as the Sheriff (Clifton James) appear to carry the revolvers as well.
Colt Detective Special
Secret Service agents are seen firing their Colt Detective Special revolvers at Zod, Ursula, and Non during the battle at the White House.
Colt Detective Special (Nickel)

Machine Guns
FN MAG-58 (mocked up as M60 machine gun)
US Marines defending the White House are seen firing what appears to be an M60 machine gun at General Zod before Non (Jack O' Halloran) takes the machine gun and breaks it in half. In reality, the machine is an FN MAG mocked up to resemble the M60.
Rifles
M16 Rifle
US Army soldiers use M16s while engaging the supervillains in East Houston, Idaho.
Armalite AR-10
The US Marines who defend the White House can be seen using Armalite AR-10 rifles during the attack by the supervillains. In the Richard Donner cut, General Zod (Terence Stamp) is seen using an Armalite to kill several agents.
Winchester Model 1892
A prison guard is armed with a Winchester Model 1892.
Submachine Guns
M3 "Grease Gun"
One Green Beret uses an M3 "Grease Gun" to shoot at Zod, Non, and Ursalla during the East Houston battle.
MAT-49
In the Theatrical Cut, several of the terrorists who have taken over the Eiffel Tower in Paris carry MAT-49s. Some have their stock removed.
Other
M2 Flamethrower
An Army soldier is seen with an M2 Flamethrower when Zod uses his super breath to direct the flame at the diner.
M9A1 Bazooka
A Green Beret team is seen firing an M9A1 Bazooka, but Non catches the rocket.
RL-83 Blindicide Rocket Launcher
A Marine bazooka team at the White House is seen firing what appears to be an RL-83 Blindicide at Non, but to no effect.
