Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004)

Starship Troopers 2: Hero of The Federation is the 2004 direct to video sequel to Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers. The film is the directorial debut of Phil Tippett, a well-known special effects artist who has done puppeteer and animatronic work for films such as the original Star Wars trilogy, as well as RoboCop. It also had a production value of approximately 7 million dollars, a significantly lower budget than the previous installment, as well as the very tight constraints of having no less than 26 days to actually shoot the scenes. The film itself is set 5 years later, following a new cast of characters that were overrun by the arachnids and stranded on a planet known as Zulu Alpha, all while a hidden threat emerges from the shadows.

The following weapons were used in the film Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation:

MilTec G1 Paintball Pistol

A modified MilTec G1 Paintball pistol appears in the film as a sidearm used by Lt. Pavlov Dill (Lawrence Monoson) and briefly used by General Shepherd (Ed Lauter). Off screen, it is referred to as an "E-Pulse A1 Pistol"

E-Pulse 44 Rifle

A supposed replacement for the Morita rifle series from the first film, they are effectively short range, man-portable rail guns. In actuality, they were just prop guns with a flashing blue LED on the muzzle, it also appears to have some design cues taken from the XM29 OICW.

E-Pulse 88

Like its standard rifle counterpart, this variant is a squad automatic weapon of sorts. It also looks reminiscent to that of a minigun. It's seen wielded by Pvt. Brick (Billy Brown) and later on by Dax.
