The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1965) was a Cold War-era thriller directed by Martin Ritt (Hombre, Hud), based on the novel by John le Carré, and starred Richard Burton, Claire Bloom, Oskar Werner, and Sam Wanamaker. George Smiley (Rupert Davies) asks veteran Circus officer Alec Leamas (Richard Burton) to face one more mission.
