Sniper 3 is the third installment in the Sniper film series. For the 2004 sequel, Tom Berenger returns as Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Beckett, who is asked to take on a mission to eliminate a suspected terrorist, who turns out to have been a fellow veteran he served with during the Vietnam War and was thought to have been KIA. The cast includes Byron Mann and Denis Arndt.
The following weapons were used in the film Sniper 3:
Remington 700 Rifle
In the Vietnam flashback, a young Thomas Beckett is seen using a Remington Model 700 sniper rifle. Vietnamese police detective Quan (Byron Mann) later gives Beckett another Remington to use. When Quan asks what Beckett thinks of the rifle, he says that it is "the best damn sniper rifle ever made".
The Barrett M107 is seen being used by a Marine sniper in the battle simulation at the beginning of the film. Beckett then takes it from the sniper and makes an impossible shot with it.
Remington 700 AICS
Beckett is seen assembling and firing an Remington 700 short action on Accuracy international Chassis System 2.0 stock fitted with a Simrad KN 200 nightvision add-on.
A counter sniper is seen using a Izhmash Tigr in 7.62x54r, the civilian version of the SVD Dragunov sniper rifle when engaging Beckett.
Norinco Type 56 SKS
A terrorist sniper is seen training his scoped SKS rifle on Quan. Other SKS rifles are used by VC forces and are seen in a display case.
A young Paul Finnegan (John Doman) is seen with a XM177E2 carbine slung while retrieving a wounded Beckett in Vietnam.
An M4A1 carbine can be seen on the wall in the observation room where Beckett accepts the mission. US Marines are also armed with M4A1's during an extraction. All of them are seen with RIS foregrips and AN/PEQ-2 IR designators.
One of the drug lord's soldiers opens fire on Quan with an AKS-74U.
Norinco Type 56
The Norinco Type 56 is seen in the hands of VC forces and thugs. One is also seen in the museum display.
One of the weapons on the wall in the observation room appears to be an M16A1 assault rifle.
The M1911A1 is a common firearm seen throughout the movie. A young Paul Finnegan fires an M1911A1 in the Vietnam prologue. Also seen used by Vietnamese police operative Quan (Byron Mann), who carries two. Beckett later gets one to replace the Glock 17.
The SIG-Sauer P226 is used by various thugs. Quan is threatened by a thug with a SIG. The thug is shot in the hand, causing the SIG to shoot a drug lord.
When a counter sniper opens fire, Beckett pulls a Glock 17 to take him on. It is apparently his personal sidearm in this film.
A Tokarev TT-33 is seen in a display in the observation room where Beckett accepts the mission.
A thug is seen taking a Stevens 67 shotgun off a Vietnamese police officer and firing it on Quan during a footchase.
M3A1 Grease Gun
An M3A1 Grease Gun is on the top rack on the gun wall in the room when Beckett accepts the mission.
The Madsen M50 is used by VC forces as well as various thugs.
