The Silent Barricade (orig. Němá barikáda) is a Czechoslovak war film from the period of the Prague uprising, which in 1949 the director Otakar Vávra made according to the novel written by Jan Drda. The story tells of Prague's citizens, who organized resistance against Panzer Division SS was coming to Prague. In Troja, their building of barricades on the bridge and their defense showed the citizens' great effort and heroism.
