The Colt M1911A1 Pistol is main sidearm of U.S. Forces. Is named "the 9mm" in game, though it should fire a .45 ACP instead. It holds 7 rounds and can be found later in game with a silencer.

MBA Gyrojet Pistol

The MBA Gyrojet Pistol. Called the "Rocket Pistol" it holds just 2 rounds of high-explosive 13mm rockets.

Tula Tokarev TT-33

The Tula Tokarev TT-33. The main pistol of NVA and VC forces in game, it's referred to as "The Red Star Pistol" in game and holds 8 rounds.

Submachine Guns

Carl Gustav M/45

The Carl Gustav M/45 appears in game as the "Swedish K" and can fitted with a suppressor. Used by Pfc. Caleb Walker and the ARVN Soldier Monty. It holds (unrealistically) 72 rounds in the magazine.

M3A1 "Grease Gun

The M3A1 "Grease Gun". An M3A1 Grease Gun is the main Submachine Gun used by US Forces. The player carries it in level one and the M3 is also used by Monty, an ARVN Soldier.

MAT-49

The MAT-49 appears as the second submachine gun used by the NVA/VC Forces. It holds 32 rounds in the magazine, which means it's the 9mm version and not the Vietnamese 7.62x25mm version.

PPSh-41

The PPSh-41 is one of the two SMGs used by the NVA/VC in game. Carries 71 rounds in a drum magazine.

M1A1 Thompson

Colt M16A1

The M16A1 rifle with anachronistic A2 handguard appears in game as the "Assault Rifle" and is the standard of the US Forces. It holds 30 rounds despite being modeled with a 20-round magazine.

Colt M16

In cutscenes, the M16A1 with A2 handguards is replaced by an M16. Numerous M16s are seen in archival footage at the beginning of the game, but none clearly enough to identify the model.

Izhmash AK-47

The Izhmash AK-47 in game is the standard assault rifle of the NVA and VC Forces and is the most common firearm in the game. It holds 30 rounds.

Mauser Karabiner 98k

The Mauser Karabiner 98k appears in game with or without a scope. Called the "K98k" or the "K98 Scoped", it's used by VC Soldiers and Snipers. It holds 5 rounds.

The Springfield Armory M14. Semi-automatic M-14 battle rifle. It holds 20 rounds.

M1 Carbine

An ARVN soldier is seen with an M1 Carbine in archival footage at the beginning of the game.

The Browning M2 Machine Gun in game is the standard heavy machine gun for the US Army. The player can not use it at any time in game.

M60

The M60 machine gun appears in game as the standard machine gun of the US Army. Carries 100 rounds, but can overheat very easily. An upgraded version called the "Death Machine" has a 1,000 backpack magazine and is less prone to overheating.

M60D

The M60D machine gun appears on a Huey in archival footage explaining the history of the war.

Type 24

The Type 24 Heavy Machine Gun, a Chinese copy of the Maxim MG08, is often found in enemy-held locations. It has unlimited ammo, but like the other machine guns in game, it can overheat.

ZiD RPD

The ZiD RPD appears in game as the standard machine gun of the NVA/VC Forces. It, like the M60, holds 100 rounds and can overheat with repeated firing.

Grenades

Mk 2 Hand Grenade

The Mk 2 hand grenade in game is the standard hand grenade of the US Army. They are also used by the NVA and VC as the lethal component of tripwire booby traps seen variously throughout the campaign. The player must either disarm or avoid them.

AA Gun

M134 Minigun

An AH-1F Cobra armed with an M134 Minigun in the nose turret is seen lifting off in the opening cutscene at Saigon Air Base. While the Cobra is more well known for its M197, a three-barreled version of the M61 Vulcan, it was originally fitted with a Minigun and later upgraded to the larger-caliber gun.
