The Shallows is a 2016 thriller directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film stars Blake Lively as Nancy Adams, a young surfer, who while surfing off the shores of a secluded isle called "Paradise", is attacked by a great white shark. The attack causes Nancy to become stranded on top of a rock 200 yards from shore. Nancy must rely on her wits to get back to shore and avoid becoming either the victim of the elements or the shark.
