The following firearms were used in the 1973 Blaxploitaion film Shaft in Africa:

Shaft in Africa Directed by John Guillerman

Luger P08

While in Africa, one of Amafi's (Frank Finlay) assassins, Marcel Sassari (Spiros Focás) fires at John Shaft (Richard Roundtree) with a Luger P08, fitted with a small suppressor. After Sassari is killed, Shaft takes the pistol and uses it for the rest of the movie.

There seems to be quite a large sound effects problem throughout the movie. The Luger is never seen without the suppressor, but when Sassari fires at Shaft, the gun's sound effects are of an unsuppressed weapon. Later, when killing another assassin on the boat in the Red Sea, the gunshots are silenced. Then, for the rest of the film, the gunshots are back to unsuppressed.

Shaft shoots the assassin on board the ship in the Red Sea. You would've thought that after the last two Shaft movies, Richard Roundtree would've had enough experience to stop flinching when firing weapons. Unfortunately not

Star Z45

One of Amafi's men in the Paris apartment fires at Shaft with a Star Z45 submachine gun. After killing him, Shaft takes it and uses it when facing off with Amafi.

M1911A1

The M1911A1 is used by many of Amafi's assassins and thugs throughout the film.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snubnose

Shaft uses a Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snubnose in the beginning to fire at Oziot (Frank McRae), with a bulletproof vest stopping the bullets. Another assassin trying to kill Shaft in Africa uses one as well.

Norinco Type 54

Amafi (Frank Finlay) uses a Chinese copy Norinco Type 54 when facing off with Shaft in the end.
