Saga of Tanya the Evil (Ongoing - January 2017)

Saga of Tanya the Evil, known in Japan as {(幼女戦記?, lit. "The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl"), is an adaptation of a Light Novel written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki. The animated adaptation started airing on January 6th, 2017 with a 13 episode run. The show chronicles the exploits of Major Tanya von Degurechaff, a 10 year old girl who is actually the reincarnated form of an unnamed Japanese atheist salaryman, who had in his dying moment denied that God existed, preferring to call him "Being X". Being X implores him to eventually find faith before his next death, or else he would be cut from the cycle of reincarnation.

Mars Automatic Pistol

The unnamed Dacia General appears to be using a Mars Automatic Pistol against Tanya in the Duchy's failed invasion of the Empire. The Mars Automatic Pistol is a powerful weapon, but against a mage's shielding it's nothing more than a toy without any magical enhancement.

The Dacia Grand Duchy's General attempts to apply for an entry visa with his Mars Automatic Pistol after Tanya asks what was the purpose of their visit to the Empire.

Submachine Guns

SIG MKMS

Anson Sioux is gifted a SIG MKMS as an early Christmas present from his daughter, Mary Sioux. Tanya ends up taking it after defeating Anson over the fjord and uses it against partisans and Republican mages in episode 8.

Rifles

Mauser Gewehr 1898

The Empire's regular infantry and Republican partisans are armed with the Mauser Gewehr 1898, characterized by its straight bolt and lack of a recess for the turned bolt of its carbine variants or the Karabiner 98k. The Empire is analogous to a merger of Imperial Germany and Austria-Hungary.

Lebel 1886

The Francois Republic's regular infantry is armed with the Lebel 1886, seen mostly in the Rhine Theatre in the anime. The Franois Republic is analogous to that of the French Third Republic.

1896 Swedish Mauser

The Legedonia Entente Alliance's regular infantry is possibly armed with the M1896 Swedish Mauser, as the Alliance is analogous to a union of Sweden and Norway.

Mannlicher M1893

The Dachia Grand Duchy's regular infantry are armed with the Mannlicher M1893, the standard rifle of the Kingdom of Romania from which the Dachia Grand Duchy is based on.

The Dacia Invasion Force HQ troops are armed with Mannlicher M1893s in their attempt to gain an entry visa from Tanya's HQ company.

Mondragón Rifle

Tanya and all other Empire mages are armed with the Mondragón Rifle, most likely to parallel the acquisition of the SIG Sauer built Mondragóns by the German Empire in the prime timeline.

The Republican mages are equipped with the R.S.C. Mle 1917 as their primary weapon.

M1 Garand

For some reason, the Alliance's mages are equipped with what appears to be the M1 Garand rifle. No doubt something along the lines of financial and materiel sales by this world's United States, as it is noted in other media that the U.S. is a financier of the beligerents.

Machine Guns

Maxim Gun

Both the Republic and Empire uses Maxim Guns. The Empire seems to be using the Maxim MG08.

The Blériot 127 bombers used by the Alliance utilizes the Lewis Gun in its Aircraft mounted form in twin-gun mounts.

Hand Grenades

Model 24 Stielhandgranate

Tanya and her mages utilize the Model 24 Stielhandgranate twice so far in the series. First bombing the Dacia invasion forces, the second in downing the lead bomber of the Alliance bomber formation.

Tanya makes a bold statement in panicking the Alliance bomber crews.
