Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is an upcoming First Person Shooter and ninth numbered installment in the main-line Resident Evil video game series. Set for release January 24, 2017, the game is set after the events of Resident Evil 6 and players take control of new protagonist Ethan.

M1911A1

An M1911A1 is featured, first seen being picked up by Ethan in an early trailer. As shown in a pre-release demo, it is referred to as the "M19 Handgun", where it can (rather strangely) be found in a toilet filled with blood, after said toilet is drained. When Ethan picks up the handgun, he performs a brass check, confirming that it is, in fact, chambered.

Ethan checks the chamber on the M1911A1, keeping his finger off the trigger. This is a strong indicator that Ethan may have some firearms training.

The unnamed protagonist finds the M19 Handgun after flushing the blood filled toilet in the Begining Hour Demo.
