M4A1 Carbine

The M4A1 Carbine is the standard issued weapon of the US Army soldiers in the film, many of which are customized with optical gunsights, lasers, and foregrips.

Colt M4A1 with M68 Aimpoint scope and RIS foregrip - 5.56x45mm.

MSgt. Sweet (Ty Jones) with an M4A1 Carbine fitted with a Trijicon TA31F ACOG, foregrip, and AN/PEQ-2.

Pvt. Gabe Blix (Kel O'Neill) with an M4A1 fitted with a Trijicon TA338 ACOG, foregrip, and AN/PEQ-2.

M203 Grenade Launcher

Some of the US Army soldier's M4A1 Carbines are fitted with M203 grenade launchers.

A US Army soldier with an M4A1 Carbine fitted with an M203 grenade launcher. Note British Challenger 1 tank behind him, highly inaccurate and anachronistic since the U.S. never used this tank, and it had also been replaced by the Challenger 2 by the time period of the film.

Norinco Type 56

Pvt. Gabe Blix (Kel O'Neill) disarms an Iraqi grandfather of his Norinco Type 56 when he attempts to defend his family with it. He then murders the whole family offscreen.

Beretta M9

The standard issue sidearm of the US Army soldiers is the Beretta M9. Pvt. Gabe Blix (Kel O'Neill) uses his to threaten Sgt. Jim Vazques (Mike Figueroa) to leave as he and his friend rape the little Iraqi girl. His friend later uses his to kill the girl later on.

Browning M2HB

Pvt. Gabe Blix (Kel O'Neill) uses a Browning M2HB to kill a pregnant Iraqi woman when her husband tries to rush through a check point in an attempt to reach a hospital quickly.

FN M249-E2 SAW

US Army soldiers carry FN M249-E2 SAWs.

B.B. Rush (Daniel Stewart Sherman) carries an FN Mk 48 Mod 0 with a flip up rear sight in the film.
