The following weapons were used in the film Red Scorpion:

Red Scorpion (1989)

Rifles

AO-63 assault rifle (mocked up FN FAL)

The prominent weapon used by Nikolai Rachenko (Dolph Lundgren) is in reality an FN FAL mocked up to resemble the Russian Avtomat AO-63 assault rifle. The FN FAL rifle has the muzzle modded to imitate twin barrels of the AO-63. The magazine also has its front slightly extended to form a foregrip. This can be seen if you click here at 01:45 seconds. Not to forget it is seen tested by Colonel Zayas (Carmen Argenziano) on the rifle range impressed by its performance. The filmmakers have also modified this gun with a Lewis gun's drum magazine and the pistol grip from an SS-77 general purpose machine gun. Although not related to the AO-63 but a Two barrel FN FAL does exist that was made by Winchester/Olin for US Army trials.
