RMN-50 - 50mm

The RMN-50 (Russian: РМН-50; Ручной миномёт Наймана, калибр 50 мм; Ruchnoy minomyot Naymana, kalibr 50 mm; "Naiman Hand Mortar, caliber 50mm") is a Soviet hand mortar/grenade launcher developed during the World War II by a team of engineers under the lead of Isaac Naiman for partisan operations.

The RMN-50 is based on the Mosin Nagant rifle and the RM-38/RM-40 mortar; damaged Mosin Nagant rifles were modified with barrels from the mortars to create the RMN-50. The rifle's iron sights are relocated to the new mortar barrel. The RMN-50 fired 50mm mortar shells with their the propelling charges removed, and used 7.62x54mmR blanks to launch the shells.
