A Quiet Place Part II is the 2021 sequel to the 2018 US post-apocalyptic horror survival thriller A Quiet Place. John Krasinski returns to write and direct the sequel and Krasinski's real life wife Emily Blunt reprises her role as Evelyn Abbott, who along with her children venture from their home into the outside world as they attempt to survive against new threats other than the sound-sensitive aliens. The sequel was scheduled for release on March 20, 2020, but this was pushed back to September 4, 2020. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou also join the cast. In July 2019, it was announced that the movie's opening will now be April 23, 2021.
