The Peacemaker is a 1997 action film which stars George Clooney and Nicole Kidman as a Special Forces colonel and nuclear expert who must locate a trainload of missing Russian nuclear warheads. The film begins with a train leaving a Russian military base, carrying former Soviet Union nuclear weapons scheduled to be decommissioned and destroyed. Along the way, a team of shadowy soldiers kills everyone on the train and steals the nukes. They leave one, which denotates and destorys the evidence after it collides with another train full of innocent civilians. In Washington D.C., a brillant young nuclear weapons expert Dr. Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman), believes that it wasn't an accident. She convinces the top Washinton brass, who assign Lt. Colonel Tom Devoe (George Clooney), a smooth, but effective Special Forces officer to aid her. Together, they work to find the missing nukes, untangling a web of intrigue involving the U.N. and a Bosnian diplomat, whose family was killed at Sarajavo's infamous sniper valley.

Zastava M70AB2

M70AB2 rifles are seen in the hands of terrorists, Russian soldiers, and UN soldiers.

Seen on UN soldier's back.
Two of the terrorist wait for the border guards to leave.

CAR-15

The early (and outdated) Colt CAR-15 assault rifles are seen in the hands of a Special Forces Operator and a FBI agent. The Special Forces soldier's CAR has a M203 launcher attached to it.

The soldier next to Devoe (Clooney) holds a CAR-15.

The FBI agents reveal a 9mm Colt, a CAR-15, and a Ithaca M37 in the elevator.
The guys disembark the helicopter, one with a CAR-15 and a M203.

Colt Model RO635

The Colt 9mm Submachine Gun is seen in the hands of a FBI agent, which is correct for him to be carrying.

CZ-75

The CZ-75B is seen being used by several characters throughout the movie.

Unknown Grenade Launcher

This unknown weapon is seen being used by the driver of the truck. He uses it twice, once to blow up a Russian Border Patrol, the again to shoot at Devoe’s chopper, but he shoots the floor of his truck, which blows up, killing him.

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is seen being used by a security team to kill Devroe’s friend. Several NYC police officers use them as well, but due to the never halting camera movements, I couldn’t get a clear picture.

Beretta 92FS

The famous movie sidearm, Beretta 92FS, returns as Lt. Colonel Tom Devoe’s (George Clooney), Air Force pilots, NYC police officers, and several other character’s sidearms.

"Now, I'm only gonna shoot you if i have to, and if i have to, I'm gonna feel really bad about it."
Devoe attaches a silencer to threaten the accountant into giving him the password for hit computer.

Devoe gets yanked back into the cargo truck by Gen. Kodorof.

Clooney holds his Beretta 92 on the terrorist, giving us a good two handed grip.

M16A1

Several New York National Guard troops show up to aid in the finding of the bomb, carrying very outdated M16A1s. This is a correct prop for the National Guard Troops given the time this movie was made. M16A1s were being issued to National Guard Infantry units as late as 2002. There are probably some Guard units that still have them today.

M16A2

After Devoe gets 8 of the nukes, (in Clooney’s badass fashion, of course) a SOF soldier is seen slinging his M16A2.

M16A2 Rifle - 5.56x45mm. Select Fire rifle (Safe/Semi/3 round Burst Only).
Also a pretty good shot of a MP5A3 too.

M24 SWS

A Special Forces sniper saves Devoe’s (George Clooney) ass with a shot to Kodoroff’s Aleksandr Baluyev chest with his M24 sniper rifle. The weapon also has a custom camo paintjob (albeit fading) and a fluted barrel.

Pretty good shot of the rifle's paintjob and fluted barrel.
Ten points for holding the rifle correctly, ten more points for being in the Army's sitting position.
The Sniper sits with his M24 at-the-ready.

Ithaca 37

The full sized Ithaca 37 shotgun is seen being held by a FBI agent when the team goes to the terrorist’s hotel room.

The last of the 'elevator trio' is an Ithaca Model 37.

M60D

As usual, a M60D machine gun is seen a mounted on a US Air Force helicopter.

"Those fuckers you can shoot!" Devoe screams as he rappels down into the cargo truck.

Remington 700PSS

FBI snipers utilize the Remington Model 700PSS sniper rifles to try (and miss terribly) to take down the terrorist before he gets to the UN.

He then takes aim.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3/A2

The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 and Heckler & Koch MP5A2, a Special Forces favorite at the time, is seen being used by rogue Russian Spetsnaz and American Green Berets.

Unknown Revolver

A few of said Spetsnaz soldiers have these unknown revolvers in cross draw holsters.

Any ideas on what it is?

SA Vz. 58

The Russian soldiers in the beginning of the film use these weapons, which is incorrect because they should be using the standard weapon AK-74M.

SA Vz.58 - 7.62x39mm.
The barrels of said rifles are visible over the officer's shoulder.

SKS

Two Russian border soldiers are shot down, SKS Carbine rifles in hand.
