Pathologic 2 Steam Header (2019)

Pathologic 2 (Russian: Мор; "Pestilence") is an expanded, reimagined remake of the Russian 2005 cult classic survival horror video game Pathologic (despite its name, it is not a sequel to Pathologic). Currently under development since 2014 by the developers of the original game, Ice-Pick Lodge, the game is planned to be released episodically, with each dedicated to one of the player characters. The first part, focusing on the Haruspex, was released on May 23, 2019.

A playable demo called Pathologic: The Marble Nest was released on December 2, 2016, featuring its own short story. A public alpha of Pathologic 2 was released on September 11, 2018.

Currently, only the Haruspex's chapter is available.

Firearms have been decently changed, they now have longer and more realistic reload animations and while the first game only had lowered damage and accuracy for damaged firearms, low durability for a firearm now results in firearms jamming and needing to be unjammed.

The following weapons appear in the video game Pathologic 2:

Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver

The Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver reappears from the original game, once again known simply as "Revolver".

Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver - .455 Webley
The player character reloads the revolver in the 2014 announcement trailer
The player character pulls back the hammer.
The Haruspex's "Touch" text for the revolver.
The Haruspex inserts a bullet into his revolver.
Part of the reason the reload takes so long is the Haruspex insists on rotating the cylinder manually after every bullet.
Holding the ready-to-fire revolver.
Using the revolver's sights.
The Haruspex attempts to clear a jam.
While a partial reload is done off-screen, an empty reload has the Revolver opened on-screen with all the (not actually spent) cartridges flying through the air.

Karabiner 98k

The Karabiner 98k is available rarely, replacing the Berdan Rifle from the first game. Unlike the first game's rifle which only holds one shot, the Karabiner 98k holds five shots and is still used by the army. Like the first game, it is known simply as "Rifle".

Karabiner 98k - 7.92x57mm Mauser
The Haruspex's "Touch" text for the rifle.
Loading the rifle. It uses older style cartridges with an unjacketed, round-nosed lead bullet, rather than full metal jacket spitzer ammo that would have been common when the Kar98k was developed.
Using the rifle's sights.
Firing the rifle, note how the ejected casing isn't spent.
The Haruspex struggles with a jam by forcing the stuck bolt back.

Sawed-Off Over and Under Shotgun

The sawed-off shotgun from the previous game is now an Over-Under Shotgun, still known as the "Shotgun", but is now a proper shotgun as opposed to a Howdah Pistol.

Sawed-off Browning Over and Under shotgun - 12 gauge
The Haruspex's "Touch" text for the shotgun.
Inserting shells into the shotgun.
Holding the loaded shotgun.
Aiming, not that it has a front sight bead to use anymore.
Reloading the shotgun from empty with both shells being ejected. The shells are plastic shotgun shells, which, like other cartridges, have not actually been fired. The use of modern plastic shotgun shells is at odds with the generally early 20th century setting and aesthetics of the game.
If the shotgun jams, the Haruspex opens the shotgun and shakes it while pulling the trigger with it open to unjam it.

Flamethrower

Just like the first game, the Army shows up with flamethrower troops to try to control the plague. Unlike the first game, the player cannot obtain flamethrower fuel as a trading item since flamethrower troops are now invincible, only killable by an exploit with how lockpicks can be used as a one-use instant-kill weapon (with them lacking a proper death animation or loot).
