The PPBV-42 (Pistolet-Pulemyot Bezruchko-Vysotsky Model 1942) is a Soviet prototype of a submachine gun. The weapon was designed in 1942 to replace the PPSh-41. She won the first two rounds of the competition. In the third round she lost to PPS-42.
