PASKAL The Movie (2018)

PASKAL The Movie is a 2018 Malaysian war film directed by Adrian Teh, produced by Asia Tropical Films, Golden Screen Cinemas, Multimedia Entertainment, Granatum Ventures and Astro Shaw. Starring Hairul Azreen as Lieutenant Commander Arman Anuar Bin Rahmat, it's inspired by the bravery and heroism of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) special ops as well as No.1 Special Forces In Malaysia, PASKAL (Pasukan Khas Laut). These film is an inspiration from the true story of the PASKAL operatives during their duties as United Nations in Angola in 1998 and the success of PASKAL seized MV Bunga Laurel's trade vessel in the event of the Gulf of Aden in 2011. The cost of filming this film costing about RM10 million. Shooting is conducted at several locations within and outside the country, such as Lumut, Perak; Semporna, Sabah and Istanbul, Turkey and etc. This movie also starring Hollywod actor, Tiger Chen Hu (John Wick 3, The Matrix Reloaded, Man of Tai Chi) as Chinese U.N Sgt Chen Han during mission in Angola.

Sidearms

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is the main sidearm of Lieutenant Commander Arman Anuar and many other PASKAL operatives.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5N

The H&K MP5N is often used by PASKAL operatives. The MP5N are fitted with MP5's Knights Armament Company rail system, Aimpoint M68 Close Combat Optic, Oerlikon Contraves LLM01 Laser Light Module and flash hider.

Heckler & Koch MP5A5

The main service submachine gun for PASKAL operatives is the H&K MP5A5 submachine guns, used in this film. It is equipped with Aimpoint M68 CCO, B&T flashlight handguard and Vortex muzzle suppressor. Also, it can fitted with QD suppressor and vertical grip.

Heckler & Koch MP5A5 - 9x19mm. Same as the MP5A4 but with a telescoping stock. Both the A4 & A5 variants have the additional option for '3-Round Burst' on the fire selector.

Heckler & Koch MP7A1

The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 is an Lt. Comm Arman's signature weapon in the mission of Bunga Laurel and the final mission. It is always equipped with an Aimpoint Micro-T, Brügger & Thomet suppressor and the 40-round extended magazine.

Assault Rifles

AK-47

An AK-47 without stock used by a group of Angolan militia during the ambush the food truck and Arman's team in UNIVEM mission.

Poly Technologies AK-47 - 7.62x39mm. This is the commercial clone of the original Type III AK-47 and is the most used in American films and shows when showing the milled receiver AK-47

The Colt M4A1 is a standard assault rifles for Malaysian Armed Forces. The M4A1 featured in the film as the weapon for PASKAL trainees during complete their selection course.

Heckler & Koch HK416

The standard service rifle for majority of PASKAL operatives is the Heckler & Koch HK416 carbines. The rifles are fitted with Aimpoint M68 Collimated Combat Optic (CCO), Brügger & Thomet suppressor, Oerlikon Contraves LLM01 Laser Light Module and M320 GLM. For these film, it is shown with 14.5 inch barrel, Aimpoint M68 CCO and Magpul MOE Carbine Stock.

Cheyenne Tactical M-200 Intervention

The CheyTach M200 is used by PASKAL sniper to engaging Somalian pirate's mother boat during the mission to retaking the Bunga Laurel merchant vessel in the Gulf of Aden, near the Arabian sea. However, this weapon is never used by PASKAL in real life due the caliber of this weapon is never used in Asia. Possibly, it is an airsoft replica.

CheyTac M200 - .408 CheyTac

The PASKAL sniper takes aim with the CheyTac M200 and his spotter helping him for calculations to engaging the pirate's mother boat in the Gulf of Aden.

Machine Guns

FN Minimi

PASKAL drill instructor uses a FN Minimi during the obstacle course for recruits.

The DM51 hand grenade were appears in this film. Terrorist held the SPC oilrig can also using these grenade as trip wire to prevent the PASKAL operators rescuing the hostages.
