Oleg Nikolayevich Efremov (October 1, 1927 — May 24, 2000) was a Soviet/Russian actor and theatre director. His career as the actor started in 1955. He played in more then 75 movies, including such popular movies as The Living and the Dead (Zhivye i Myortvye) (1964), War and Peace (Voyna i mir) (1965), Aybolit-66 (1966), Beware of the Car (Beregis Avtomobilya) (1966), Three Poplars at Plyuschikha Street (Tri topolya na Plyushchikhe) (1967), Shine, Shine, My Star (Gori, gori, moya zvezda) (1969), The Battalions Request Fire (Batalyony prosyat ognya) (1985). Efremov was awarded title of People's Artist of the USSR.
