Neruda is a 2016 Chilean movie directed by Pablo Larraín. In 1948, Chilean senator Pablo Neruda, a famous poet, and communist accused the government of President Videla of treason. The retaliation follows immediately in the form of Neruda's impeachment, he can escape his arrest only by flight. Together with his wife Delia del Carril, he tries to leave the country unnoticed. But the policeman Peluchonneau is already doggedly on their heels, beginning a cat-and-mouse game that Neruda finds somewhat appealing.
