Handguns

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is the standard sidearm of the LAPD, seen in the hands of Officer Hank Rafferty (Steve Zahn), his partner Charlie Reed (Timothy Busfield), Detective Frank McDuff (Colm Feore), and several other officers. Earl Montgomery (Martin Lawrence) also uses one while training at the police academy.

Shooting at an extreme downward angle with nearly no kickback, Earl (Martin Lawrence) shoots four white targets outside the "crime scene" while training. He did not shoot the board with the black man on it because it was an "innocent bystander" (with a Desert Eagle and a Heckler & Koch UMP!).

An LAPD officer points his Beretta at Hank and Earl when sent to arrest them at the impound lot. Based on this guy's grip on the gun, it is almost certain he is a cop in real life.

Colt Detective Special

While working for National Security, Earl Montgomery (Martin Lawrence) carries a third generation Colt Detective Special.

Glock 17 (Two-tone converted to full-auto)

Earl's favorite gun, a third generation Glock 17 named "Earl Jr." is two-toned with an Insight M3 weaponlight, 33-round magazine, an extended compensated barrel, and modified to fire fully automatic. Hank borrows this gun when he goes after Nash (Eric Roberts) in the apartment.

Earl draws his Glock 17 on a car thief when he is finally an LAPD officer, but blows up the car the thief aimed to steal as the car's owner watches. Note here the gun is not fitted with the weaponlight, nor an extended magazine.

Jericho 941 R

Hank takes a Jericho 941 R from a thug and uses it during the warehouse shootout, twice pointing it at Earl's face.

Beretta Cougar

Hank (Steve Zahn) uses a Beretta Cougar during the last half of the film, most notably the apartment shootout and the final shootout.

Colt Mk IV Series 70

One of McDuff's thugs intimidates Lieutenant Washington (Bill Duke) with a Colt Mk IV Series 70. Washington later takes this gun and uses it to dispatch several henchmen.

Uzi

Hank (Steve Zahn) grabs an Uzi from a thug before the beverage warehouse shootout. Several other thugs, including Nash (Eric Roberts) and Stanton (Carl Ciarfalio), also use Uzis throughout the film.
